Nanmangalam Reserve Forest

Nanmangalam Reserve Forest, located near Velachery-Tambaram Road in Chennai, is a peaceful green patch spread across around 320 hectares. Known for its dry evergreen forest and rocky landscape, it offers a quiet escape from the city. The forest is home to various birds like the great horned owl, as well as butterflies and other small wildlife, making it a nice spot for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Though not very crowded, it has become a popular place for short nature walks and guided birdwatching tours.
