HellermannTyton Adds Advanced Manufacturing - and Local Jobs

The quality of a hi-tech business corridor is reflected not only in the size of itsindustries, but in the sophistication of what they produce.

HellermannTyton inaugurated its new Oragadam manufacturing facility in November 2025. Spread across more than 100,000 square feet, the plant incorporates advanced injection-moulding capabilities and digital-first operations for cable-management and connectivity solutions.

The company states that the facility “creates over 200 local jobs” while serving domestic and international customers. This combination of technology, exports and employment is important for Oragadam’s next stage of development.

Advanced component manufacturing broadens the corridor beyond traditional vehicle assembly. It creates demand for trained operators, engineers, quality specialists, supply-chain professionals and technical services. These roles, inturn, influence the region’s residential profile. A growing skilled workforce requiresquality homes, education, healthcare, retail and recreation within practicaldistance of the workplace.

The facility’s location inside Greenbase Industrial and Logistics Park at Hiranandani Parks also illustrates a notable trend: industrial and residential ecosystems beginning to coexist within a larger planned geography. The old model placed factories far from liveable neighbourhoods. The emerging model recognises that talent retention depends on both.

One facility cannot transform a region by itself. But each high-quality addition strengthens Oragadam’s economic diversity and employment depth.

The most meaningful development story is not simply how many companies arrive. Itis how the nature of work, skills and everyday life improves because they do.
